The National Theatre was Sunday turned into a Cathedral of praise and worship in year seven of Men Worship - an all men choir - with the sole objective of lifting the souls of Ghanaians to the maker.
It was meant to be a befitting treat to men to crown a special occasion - ‘Fathers Day’ - which has for most part been misunderstood or relegated to the background and Men Worship did not disappoint.
Reminiscent of the Day of Pentecost, Men Worship, with their soul lifting serenades, turned their patrons, most of whom were women, into disciples arrested by the Holy Spirit.
They surrendered; with their knees firmly on the ground, their hands lifted high up into the roof, talking, praying, and singing all in worship of the Lord God Almighty.
And when Francis took over in praises; his dances; the Cathedral shook, reverberated the sounds of Biblical Jericho. Only this time the walls of National Theatre remained intact.
Uncle Ato was superb in his appellations. He called upon the heavens and gave it its rightful place among the living. Among men.
