Winners of the second season of Joy FM Read 100 Reading Competition left Accra for South Africa last Sunday night to begin a tour of the country’s most attractive tourists destinations as part of their all-expense paid trip prize package.

The winners which included Sarah Mills, Victory Presby Church School, Ojemba Gale-Zoyiku from Crown Glory School and Emmanuel Dokyi of Christ the King School read their way to the top to emerge finalists from scores of young children who participated in the competition.
The Joy FM ‘Read 100 Project’, is targeted at children between the ages of 8 and 14 years and is intended to develop reading skills among children and improve their knowledge of the English language.
The places they will be visiting include Table Mountain, Cape City, Robben Island, Harbour Cruise, Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Two Oceans Aquarium and Wheel of Excellence, Cape Point.
They will embark on a helicopter ride and later and go shopping at one of the continent’s largest shopping malls, Canal Walk.

The three were grilled in the studios by the sit-in-host of Joy FM's Super Morning Show Bernard Nasara Saibu, from three out of seven African oriented books they had read on the second season of the competition.
