The Kade District Magistrate Court on has bonded a woman who assaulted a former boyfriend to be of good behaviour for six months.
In default, Abena Boahemaa, a trader, will go to prison for three months.
Police Inspector Francis Cobbina told the court that Kofi Baafi, who is a farmer, befriended Boahemaa and the two went their separate ways following a misunderstanding.
He said Boahemaa instituted civil action against Baafi for non-maintenance of their baby and the case is pending.
The prosecutor said on February 16 Boahemaa went to the house of an aunt of Baafi and demanded GHc110 which she claimed the woman owed her.
A misunderstanding arose between them during which Boahemaa insulted the former boyfriend and his family members.
When Baafi returned home and was informed about Boahemaa behaviour, he remarked that she had been warned not to step in the house again, wondering why she came to the house and misbehaved.
The prosecutor said when Boahemaa, who was by then in a nearby house, heard Baafi talking rushed to the house and assaulted him.
