Aduana striker Yahaya has eyed the top scorer award in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The striker has been in ruthless form banging 9 goals in as many as 6 matches to make him the outright leader in the goal king race.
The former Kotoko striker who went 450 minutes in the league without scoring is happy with the turnaround and confident to maintain this hot streak.
“My major priority is to be the top scorer at the end of the season,” he told Asempa Sports
“If any team does not approach me to sign a contract for them then I will go all out to win that award because it my priority for the season and I know it will gain me the chance to play in the Black Stars.”
“It is the aim of every striker to win that award especially the likes of Eric Bekoe, Samuel Tetteh and other strikers in the league but I will compete with them and I know I will win it.”
“I felt very bad after five matches because I haven’t even scored an offside goal because it was a new club I have joined and they had trust in me and failing to score after five matches was a bad feeling for me.”
“I kept on training very had and I had the encouragement of the team and it kept me going and with the experience I have and after five matches played already I got to know there are a lot of matches to played so I worked hard to prove my fans and the club wrong.”
“So with the kind of training I had and supporting it with prayers I know I will be the top scorer at the end of the season.”
Yahaya’s hot form has coincided with Aduana winning four consecutive games.
