Youth groups in the country have formed an umbrella body which they hope will give them greater participation in discussions of national issues and decision-making.
The Ghana Youth Development Network comprises groups in various sectors including business, health, education, sports, and several other disciplines.
One of the leaders of the network, Michael Kottoh, told Joy News’ Matilda Asante that the umbrella body is intended to empower the youth who constitute the majority of the country's population.
A national launch of the network is slated for Monday, as a follow up to the celebration of International Youth Day, which falls on Sunday.
