The 1981 year group of Zion College in Anloga, Volta Region has handed over a beautifully renovated one-story classroom block named the "Charity Block" to the school.
The ceremony was attended by current students, staff, and distinguished guests, marking a significant milestone in the school's history.
The Charity Block, which was in a state of disrepair, has undergone a remarkable transformation, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the 1981 year group.

The project was initiated as part of their commitment to giving back to their alma mater and ensuring that future generations of students at Zion College have a conducive learning environment.
During the ceremony, the school's headmistress, Nutifafa Abla Kwawukumey expressed gratitude to the 1981 year group for their selfless contribution, emphasising the positive impact the renovated block would have on the students' academic experience.
Madam Kwawukumey urged all old students as well as well-meaning individuals and organisations to come to the aid of the school to solve infrastructure problems of the school to make learning and teaching more effective and efficient
During the official handover, the spokesperson for the 1981 year group, Thomas Adade, shared insights into the inspiration behind the project.

She spoke passionately about the fond memories and valuable lessons they acquired at Zion College, emphasizing the need for the alumni to play an active role in supporting the institution.
"We believe in the power of education and the role it plays in shaping the future. Zion College has a special place in our hearts, and it is our responsibility to ensure that it continues to thrive. The Charity Block is a small token of our appreciation and a symbol of our commitment to the prosperity of this school," he said.
Following the handover, Mr Adade extended a heartfelt call to all old students of Zion College, urging them to join hands in supporting the school's development initiatives.
He announced plans for future projects, including the refurbishment of the school library and the establishment of a scholarship fund to assist deserving students.
The ceremony concluded with a tour of the Charity Block, allowing attendees to witness firsthand the positive changes that had taken place.
The sense of pride and unity among the old students was palpable, echoing a commitment to fostering continuous improvements for the benefit of Zion College and its students.
