Accra Lions forward, Hagan Frimpong, says the club will always dominate all their opponents in possession following their 2-1 win over Karela United on matchday two of the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League.
The 19-year-old was named the man-of-the-match in Saturday’s game at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Frimpong explains that dominating Karela United gave them the leap to score the goals that gave them their first points of the season.
“Dominating possession gave us an advantage over Karela United,” he said at the post-match presser. “If you look at our games, we dominate possession always. We played all the ball in this game.
“I think I deserve the man of the match award, too. As for football, I can play really well. If you watched the game, I played really well. My teammates too, everyone plays well always.
“When we were coming into the game, we told ourselves we can dominate the game because when we keep possession, that’s how we can gain an advantage over the opponents.”
