Twenty-one persons are in critical condition at the Tamale Teaching hospital after they survived a motor accident at Buipe in the Northern Region.
The 207 Benz bus in which they were travelling in was said to have burst a front tyre leading to the accident.
The severely injured persons include seven children and several other women. An eyewitness who spoke to Joy News said the victims are critical condition.
He described the accident as "gory."
The District Chief Executive of Buipe, Mumuni Shiraz Ibn Yacin who also confirmed the accident to Joy News said he is personally ensuring that all victims receive medical attention.
According to him, the victims have been rushed to the Buipe Hospital and are receiving treatment.
