The formation and establishment of Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition, the “Nkrumaism” tradition and the PNDC/NDC tradition on the political landscape of Ghana have totally failed Ghanaians.
The PNDC/NDC have ruled Ghana for almost 25 years but have little to show for it whereas the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition have ruled for 11 years but their leadership was even worst. The NPP and NDC have exposed the economy of Ghana to hyperinflation and stag-inflation respectively with serious economic hardships and retarded economic growth. This clearly suggests that the leadership of NDC and NPP are really suffering from leadership deficiency.
Any fulfillment of campaign promises made to the people of Ghana by the NDC and NPP to improved access to quality education, better healthcare delivery system, quality drinking water, expansion of road network and infrastructural development, provision of affordable housing, quality Security etc has been totally limited in scope and impact on the general wellbeing of the populations.
The Independent Peoples Party(IPP) per its founder, Kofi Akaploo was basically formed to redeem Ghanaians from the economic struggles. IPP have better innovative, scientific and creative policies which shall solve the high rate of unemployment in Ghana especially among the youth (both graduates and non-graduates). As a Centrist Political Party, when voted into power comes 2016 general elections, IPP shall ensure a stable economy and institute Public Sector Reforms. From our motto (Putting People lives first through technology), we shall ensure the application of Science and Technology to the economy of Ghana.
The only difference between the retrogress economy and progress economy is the introduction of Science and Technology. Africa economy particularly Ghana lacks the application of Science and Technology compare to the advance economy. Any country with vast natural and human resources but lack Science and Technology shall forever remain poor. IPP shall change Ghana from Consumer Economy to Production Economy when given the opportunity to rule this Nation. The export earnings from Science and Technology is exceedingly advantageous than earnings from the exportation of raw natural resources. If Ghana really wants to achieve the higher middle income status, we must learn to amend our trading policies and most importantly take Science and Technology very seriously and IPP is the only Party that can achieve this.
IPP is on the Political landscape to offer new hope to the hopeless and we are humbly offering ourselves to the electorates of Ghana as the alternative strong ‘THIRD FORCE’ political party with the vision of totally transforming the economy of Ghana through the application of Science and Technology to the economy. IPP shall ensures prudent management of the indicators of the economy such as Policy rate, Inflation rate, GDP, PPI, Interest rate etc and also ensure investment confidence.
The leadership of IPP is very trustworthy who have Ghana at heart. Our policies on industrialization, modernization and mechanization of agriculture, the application of Science and Technology would eventually eradicate the epidemic of unemployment in the Country.
IPP is a youthful political party and we would like to plead with the youth of Ghana to reason with IPP and reject the aged and unfashionable leadership of NPP and NDC.
53 years of republic status, the NPP and the NDC have failed to improve the economic status of Ghana due to the fact that their leadership is very old with psychomotor mental retardation since creativity and innovative thinking always diminishes with ageing. After 53 years of republic status with retrogress economy under the leadership of NPP and NDC, IPP think it is about time the electorates of Ghana change the political leadership by rejecting both NDC and NPP and consider the IPP come 2016 general elections. IPP is the only party that can redeem Ghanaians from the chronic economic hardships that they are facing.
For and on behalf of the Independent Peoples Party
RAZAK OPOKU
(GENERAL SECRETARY)
