The Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) has extended its working hours to provide full service to the public till December 31, 2007. A statement issued by the CEPS in Accra on Saturday said that with effect from Saturday, November 3, 2007, all offices, including its headquarters, would be opened on Saturdays from 0800 hours to 1700 hours, excluding statutory public holidays. This is in anticipation of the increased volume of imports and exports in the periods leading to the yuletide. The statement requested its stakeholders, particularly importers, exporters, freight forwarders, free zone and bonded warehouse operators to support and cooperate to make the exercise successful.
