Ghana's midfield schemer Clifford Aboagye says he and his colleagues will mount a strong challenge for the bronze medal at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey.
The Black Satellites failed to reach a fourth final after losing 2-1 to France in their semi-final clash on Wednesday in Bursa.
Ghana had earned rave reviews after eliminating Portugal and Chile from the knock-out stages.
The 2009 champions must face a plucky Iraq side, who were beaten 7-6 on penalties by Uruguay in their semi-final clash, in Istanbul on Saturday for third place.
“ We played very well did our best but our best wasn't enough. There are three honours in a tournament. We have gold, silver and bronze so since we lost both the gold and the silver we will now shift our attention to the third place game which are poised to win to compensate,” Aboagye told JOY Sports.
The 18-year old was the toast of many scouts but the intelligent player has been signed by Italian Serie A side Udinese.
