CAL Bank is excited at the patronage of its “Deposit and Win” promotion, recording over 14,800 entries across the country in four weeks.
Customers in Accra and Kumasi are leading the trail of interest in the promotion, which rewards customers who open Gh₵300 accounts with the Bank and keep depositing multiples of same amount.
New and existing clients are rewarded every month whilst the ultimate winner at the end of August 2013 will win a two bedroom house – expandable into three bedrooms – at Devtraco. Another lucky customer will take home holiday destination tickets abroad for two with spending money.
“Our strategy mainly is to further permeate the retail market in Ghana; it’s one of the key things that also got us into this promotion and so far we’ve been overly excited about how far it is working”, said Kofi Siabi, Head of Marketing at CAL Bank.
The first in two mini-draws was held at the Kejetia branch of CAL Bank in Kumasi. Ten customers won 40 inch LED television, Home Theatre set, microwave oven, notebook laptops, barbecue grill, mobile phone and other souvenirs.
Though figures are not available, the promotion is expected to significantly impact on CAL’s second quarter financial performance.
“Beyond the promotion, you look at other things like service delivery, the facilities we give in terms of loans, and competitiveness of our facilities and we believe that our service is the utmost of it all and we provide that to our customers”, stated Mr. Siabi.
CAL Bank is currently the 8th largest bank in Ghana in terms of total assets.
