A Kumasi High Court has granted bail to three members of pro-NDC ‘Hawks’ militia
group, suspected to be involved in the party office shooting which claimed one life in Ashanti Region.
Forty year old Dauda Ibrahim, alias Wayo, Abdul Ganiu, 37, and Samuel Agyin alias Rock, who is 32 are among 12 people declared wanted after last February’s incident.
The three later turned themselves in and have since remained in custody until Tuesday.
A fourth person, Suleman Fusseini was arrested and handed over to police last week by a group of motor riding youngmen at his residents at Kenyasi Abrem.
Each of them is on a 100 thousand cedis bail with two sureties.
They are also to report to police first Monday of every month.
Counsel for the suspects had appealed decision of the Asokwa District Court which earlier denied them bail.
They made the first appearance at the High Court on April 4, 2019 when their pleas were taken.

Police declared 12 members of the ‘Hawks’ wanted
Lawyer Evans Amankwaa argued the three are innocent and gave reasons for his position.
He commended police, judiciary especially the Attorney General's Department for upholding justice.
"We thank the Ghana Police Service for their co-operation. We thank the Attorney General for their co-operation and we thank the judicial system for upholding justice. I'm happy as a lawyer today in this country that at the end of the day we have been able to see justice being done to people who are innocent".
The court accepted his application and granted all three bail.
Earlier, the District Court cited security of the suspects as reason for denying them bail on first application.
Lawyer Amankwaa urges relatives of the suspects to restrain themselves and allow the court to determine the case.
Hearing of the substantive case will continue the Asokwa District Court on 21st May, 2019.
Meanwhile, family of the deceased victim of the February shooting, Abdul Wasiw Iddrisu are calling on police to intensify effort at finding the other suspects.
