With the increase in violence around the world, peace has become a national anthem religious leaders, law enforcement agencies and citizens have been preaching.
Human Rights Lawyer and activist, Francis-Xavier Sosu, is praying this year’s Ramadan increase the height of peace attained in the country, particularly, in the Madina area of Accra.
In a statement to wish Muslims a Happy Ramadan, the lawyer said he wishes through the Ramadan prayers Almighty Allah would be merciful to all.
Mr Sosu who is also an aspiring Member of Parliament for Madina on the ticket of the NDC added, he hopes the prayers in this holy month can lead to the exposure of the murderers of investigative journalist, Armed Hussein Suale.
”I wish all Muslims a happy Ramadan,” the statement read.
Mr Sosu has been a very active volunteer on the Justice For All Program, since he was first called to the Bar in 2010.
He has represented hundreds of prisoners Pro Bono and played an instrumental role in the release of many.
Currently, Mr Sosu is a member of Criminal Law Reform Associations which is actively involved in advocacy for reforms in the criminal justice system.
