The corpse of a 27-year-old man found Sunday morning in the Keta Municipality in bizarre circumstances has left residents in a state of fear.
The Volta Regional town has in the past year experienced at least two other mysterious murders.
In June this year, Keta chief, Torgbui Azialekor appealed to the government to help solve what he considered to be a possible case of serial murders.
Joy News' Volta Regional Correspondent, Ivy Sortodzi, who visited the scene reported that the family of the deceased, Senega Kumorge, a farmer, suspect foul play in his death.
Ivy reported that the police have deposited the remains at the Keta Government Hospital mortuary.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Keta, Sylvester Tornyeavah speaking to Joy News said the previous murders remain unsolved but promised to act swiftly to prevent another death in the wake of Sunday morning's incident.
