About a year ago the Progressive People’s Party, PPP joined our Moslem brothers and sisters to celebrate the successful end of the fasting period in the 9th month of Ramadan. The party seized the opportunity to urge our Moslem brothers and sisters to continue to pray for peace and unity in the country especially as we approached the December 2012 elections. We are happy to note the enormous contributions made by the Moslem community to the sustenance of the peace and unity of our country Ghana in the election year. While we congratulate all Moslems on the successful end of this year’s fasting and prayers and join in their joyous celebrations, we wish to remind our brothers and sisters that their efforts and contributions to the maintenance of peace and unity in Ghana is more than ever needed. We call on all Moslems to help make our nation capable, great and strong on the occasion of the celebration of Eid ul-Fitr by joining in the national crusade for peace and unity as we prepare for the Supreme Court to deliver its ruling on the ongoing presidential election petition. To our brothers and sisters we say your peace efforts are not yet over!Happy Eid ul-Fitr!Kofi Asamoah-Siaw
National Secretary, PPP
