Mr Kwame Ofori, a General Manager of the Enterprise Insurance Company Limited, on Wednesday advised market women to insure their businesses.
Speaking at a day’s seminar organised by the company for its clients in Takoradi, he said this would make it easier for market women to get back on their feet after theft and fire outbreaks.
Mr. Ofori said insurance is not a maintenance agreement but was meant to come to the aid of policyholders in terms of financial need to stabilise them.
He said, "Insurance is a good mechanism to assist people to recover loss and gives peace of mind to policyholders to concentrate on their jobs".
He urged people who want to take on insurance policies to carefully study what the insurance covers and the conditions and their obligation.
