Five persons are reported dead, while several others were left in critical condition from an accident at Mim in the Atwima Nwabiagya District.
According to Eyewitness, Kakyire Kwame Appiah, an Urvan Mini Bus with registration number GR 7480 Q travelling from Nkawie to Kumasi collided with a Benz bus travelling to from Kumasi to Kotokuom.
Three passengers on the Benz Bus, as well as the driver and another female passenger on the Urvan Mini Bus died on the spot.
Appiah said, the Benz bus driver had swerved a pregnant goat crossing the road and ran into the Urvan Mini Bus.
“The eyes of the Urvan Mini Bus driver popped out of its sockets,” he said.
Appiah said the police and fire service officers were at the scene to move the deceased and also help the injured, while some good samaritans also used their private vehicles to carry some of the injured persons to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
