She has been quoted in numerous reports about the country’s competitive and growing telecommunications sector, specifically focused on the issue of fines on telecommunications service providers in order to address efficiency issues and secure quality of service for consumers. The founder of Egypt’s Orascom Telecom Holdings, Naguib Sawiris is reported to have a net worth of $2.5 billion.
