Former Black Stars defender, Sammy Osei Kuffuor says Tuesday's game against the Pharaohs of Egypt is the most important in the history Ghana.
Kuffuor, who was key in Ghana's first appearance at the world cup in Germany 2006, described tomorrow's first leg tie in the penultimate round of qualifiers as crucial, since the Black Stars have not yet secured the ticket to Brazil 2014.
"This game is the most important in the history of this country. We have the visa but we don't have the ticket," Osei Kuffuor said on the Asempa Sports on Asempa FM, Monday at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi where the Black Stars is lodging.
He encouraged the nation to be positive and support the team no matter who is called to start.
"We have better quality players than the Egyptians. They are just here to frustrate the Ghanaians with their theatrics to frustrate the team," Kuffuor told Kofi Asare Brako, host of Asempa Sports.
Several other former Ghana stars - CK Ackunnor, Augustine Arhinful - who appeared on the show, all asked for maximum support and prayers for the team.
