Kerosene and premix fuel witnessed the highest jump in the latest adjustments in prices of petroleum products.
Kerosene went up by 5 percent for a litre, while premix fuel which is mainly used by fishermen recorded a 18 percent increase per litre.
Industries would be paying 5 percent more per litre for residual fuel oil.
However, users of petrol would be paying about 2 percent less for every litre purchased, while users of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) would also have a lot to smile about as they would be buying a kilogram today for about 3 percent less.
However users of diesel might have to wait for the next review because there was not any change in price.
Joy Business gathers the adjustments took effect Wednesday October 16.
