The Police have granted bail to the 15 people who have been implicated in the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Agency (GYEEDA) report.
However, a docket is being prepared on them for onward submission to the Attorney General’s Department, for advice.
The Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Commissioner of Police (CID) Prosper Kwame Agblor disclosed this to the Ghanaian Times on Thursday.
He said the investigating team, comprising personnel from the CID and the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) interrogated a number of people, institutions and witnesses within a month.
COP Agblor said throughout the hearings, statements were taken from the invitees.
He said a number of documents, including GYEEDA’s contract were demanded from those who appeared before the team.
“We have interrogated people from the GYEEDA Secretariat, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and a host of companies which provided various services for GYEEDA,” he said.
COP Agblor explained that those granted enquiry bail would be invited when it becomes necessary, to assist with further investigations.
