President John Mahama has appointed Kwabena Akyeampong, a marketing communications professional and former Deputy Minister for the Interior, to be in charge of the restructuring and reorganization of the operations of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA).
Mr. Akyeampong, who will be reporting to the Chief of Staff, will be responsible for the management of GYEEDA, and coordinate the President’s directive for a full restructuring and development of a bill to be presented to parliament to govern the operations of the Agency.
A former deputy minister for tourism, and later interior, Mr. Akyeampong is also a former Director of Studies at the African University College of Communications in Accra.
