Two people died and 12 others received various degrees of injures during a youth durbar at Yeji in the Brong Ahafo Region last Friday.
The incident occurred after a chief in the area who is not recognized by a faction decided to attend the programme when he had not been invited.
According to the Ghana News Agency, as soon as the chief arrived, a number of unidentified men in a taxi fired gun shots and killed the two.Several others were injured.
The deceased have been identified as 40 year old Kwadwo Yakubu and Kofi David, 32 years old.
Bono Ahafo Regional Police Public Affairs Director ASP Christopher Tawiah, Brong has confirmed the incident. No arrests have been made yet.
