Black Maidens assistant coach of the Ben Fokuo says his team are in good shape for their crucial 2014 FIFA U 17 World Cup qualifier against Equatorial Guinea this Saturday at the Accra stadium.
The female U 17 team secured passage to this stage of the qualifiers following Congo Brazzaville's failure to turn up for the first qualifying round game.
The Maidens are chasing a second successive World Cup appearance after that impressive performance at the last edition in Azerbaijan where the team finished third in the competition.
Fokuo, who guided the team to a 1-1 draw in a friendly game with juvenile side Mandela FC at the Accra stadium on Tuesday, says they are up to Saturday's challenge
"We have prepared very well and you know Maidens as always carry high expectations from Ghanaians so during our training sessions whatever we have been teaching them is working to perfection," he told Joy sports
"We have played some friendly matches and the girls are doing very well so I’m sure we are ready for the game on Saturday."
