Airtel Ghana has extended the period of its national consumer promotion, Supa Star, by eight more weeks to December this year.
Managing Director Philip Sowah announced this at ceremony where he presented the third BMW saloon car to 25-year-old bar tender, Gladys Baffuor.
The MD noted that the gesture was to intended to extend the promotion into the festive season to give Airtel customers a lot more to celebrate.
"We have over the years had one promotion or the other during the yuletide and we don’t want this year to be any different”, Mr. Sowah said.
Meanwhile, Gladys Baffour, a native of Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region and a resident of La in Accra became the latest winner of a brand new BMW car from Airtel.
Gladys Baffour, who runs a drinking spot at La stormed the Ring Road Shop premises of Airtel in the company of her husband and lots of family and friends to receive her car.
She said: “I never, ever expected to win anything in the promo not to talk of this car; I was shocked when I was told about it; I still can’t believe it”.
Mr. Sowah who presented the keys of the brand new car to Gladys Baffour said he was happy to see the joy that Airtel brings to its customers.
“You don’t need to be told that Gladys is genuinely thrilled about this, and we are happy to have been at the centre of her happiness”, he said.
The Airtel Supa Star promotion which has been going on for several weeks now has seen thousands of Airtel users win Samsung phones, cash, shopping vouchers, and trips to Brazil.
Mr. Sowah invited Airtel customers to spend at least 50 pesewas a day or to recharge with GHC2 and above to gain points after which they are entered into a draw weekly, and a final grand draw to be held in December.
