Ghana's Kevin-Prince Boateng was part of Schalke 04's team that lost to Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday afternoon.
Borussia Mönchengladbach continued their astonishing home form this season by recording an eighth victory in as many games to beat ten-man FC Schalke 04 2-1.
The hosts were forced to come from behind after Jefferson Farfan gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot, but a Raffael stunner soon brought parity again. Benedikt Höwedes' sending off shortly before half time all but ended Schalke's hopes of success, with Max Kruse tucking away the ensuing penalty.
Kevin-Prince Boateng played the entire duration of the game that saw his side play with ten men for half of the time after Benedikt Howedes was sent off.
Schalke 04 are fifth on the Bundesliga table with 25 points from 15 games.
