Public health and safety had been compromised at Mantse Agbona, a suburb of Accra, when the JoyNews’ 'Clean Ghana Campaign' team made a stop in that community.
On Wednesday, the team made up of journalists, security officers, Public Health authorities and sanitation officers, including District Assembly officers, were taken aback when they saw food being prepared for the market stored at the same place as dustbin and public toilet.
Attempts to cover-up the distasteful scene led to a scuffle resulting in the heckling of a Photojournalist with Joy News.
The following pictures, captured by JoyNews’ multiple award winner, David Andoh, say more.
Deepening the advocacy for clean communities, JoyNews, a brand under The Multimedia Group, has launched the 'Clean Ghana Campaign to rally citizens to their civic responsibilities.
As part of the campaign, staff of the Group have been placed at hospitals, schools, churches and public places in a move to re-awaken a dying sense of communal duty.
