Former Arsenal winger Gervinho hit one of the worst misses of the Serie A season during Roma's 4-0 win over Catania on Sunday.
With the goal gaping after a decent save from Catania goalkeeper Alberto Frison following Roma's initial shot, the ball fell to Gervinho and a goal looked certain.
However, with all the time in the world, the Ivory Coast international managed to strike the post when scoring looked easier!
After missing the outrageous sitter, Gervinho did make amends later on, netting Roma's final goal.
However, at first glance, it looked like the frontman had made a mess of another effort as he scuffed the ball but luckily it ended up in the back of the net.
The game turned out to be a game of blunders - Catania goalkeeper Frison should have easily gathered a Roma cross but somehow spilled it against centre back Alexis Rolin allowing Mattia Destro to tap home from close range.
Having joined Roma in the summer from Arsenal for £7million, Gervinho has made 13 appearances for the club and scored three times, including a brace in a 5-0 win over Bologna in September.
