A statement issued by the Ministry and signed by its leader, Felix Dela Klutse said: “The fun Games, which is being organised in collaboration with Potential Imparter’s Association of Ghana, a non-governmental organization, aimed at using sports as a forum to socialize and also win souls for Christ.”
The statement stated: “The focus of the youth towards holidays and leisure should be skewed towards sporting events to develop their talents and condemned activities of some of the youth who indulge in vices that society abhors.”
The statement further said apart from using the fun games as a focal point of social integration, sports activities also helps in reducing stress, cholesterol level and improving blood circulation among the people.
James Wettey, President of Potential Imparter’s Association of Ghana, said the fun games would be a yearly event, adding that, cash prizes would be awarded to the best participating churches.
