Members of the Suhum Bungalow Welfare Association have appealed to the government to release the Micro Finance Loan to the people of Suhum to enable them to brush their farms.
The Chairman of the association, Mr Ebenezer Martey, who made the appeal said it was only when the loan was released to them at the right time that they would be able to pay back.
He said the farming season was close, adding that this was the right time the farmers needed the money for their farming activities.
Mr Martey said many farmers had started clearing their farms for planting and that most of them who are old needed money to engage labourers for assistance on the farms and also to purchase farming imputes.
Mr Martey, however, commended the government for the assistance being given to farmers and appealed to the youths to go into farming to better their life instead of seeking “white colour jobs” which never existed.
