A panel on Joy FM's Ghana Connect programme has split hairs on the success stories of Ghana's 57th Independence Anniversary.
After 57 years of independence, the popular view is that Ghana has under-achieved. The point of variation however is who is to blame for the country's under achievement. Leadership? Citizens?
Ghana's first president Dr Kwame Nkrumah in his famous independence day address remarked that the African is capable of managing his own affairs.
But that comment has been disputed over the years given the rich history of mal administration and leadership impotence exhibited by some African leaders.
On Ghana Connect, the panel was divided in their opinion on what Ghana's successes and failures are and what to do to achieve the dreams of the forefathers.
Take a listen.
