Joseph Ibrahim Mbiba, 50, a mortuary attendant at Tepa District Hospital in the Ahafo-Ano North District in Ashanti, was last Friday found dead on duty at the mortuary.
Mr Collins Kesseh, the Hospital’s Administrator said the deceased reported for duty in the morning and at about 0930 hours he was found dead at the mortuary.
He said the medical officer on-duty at the emergency ward, quickly rushed to the scene but Mbiba was dead and a report was made to the police.
The corpse has been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.
Mbiba, a native of Bantama near Kwame Danso in the Sene District of Brong-Ahafo, left behind a wife and four children.
Meanwhile the police have intensified investigations into the cause of death.Source: GNA
