Gains by Aluworks and ECOBANK Ghana lifted the Accra stock index on Thursday although volumes that changed hands were low.
The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main stock index, gained 1.71 points at 4,990.58 points from Wednesday’s 4,988.87 points.
Change to date ended higher at 4.65 per cent.
On the broader market, there were two price changes, both gains. ECOBANK Ghana gained 45 cedis at 13,150 cedis and Aluworks was 69 cedis richer at 7,100 cedis.
Total shares traded slumped further at 19,000 shares from 40,800 shares while market capitalisation was also higher at 112,194.44 billion cedis from 112,184.31 billion cedis.
