Clement Afful, a driver, on Tuesday appeared before a magistrate’s court at Awutu in the Central Region, for causing harm to police Sergeant James Adabor of the Kasoa Police.Afful who pleaded guilty to careless and inconsiderate driving would re-appear on April 21.Police Chief Inspector Helena Aidoo, told the court presided over by Mr Kofi Ahiabor that sometime this month, the accused who was driving a car with registration number GW 1324 Y.Prosecution said when Afful approached the Kasoa Police District Headquarters, he was signalled by the police to stop but he refused to comply with the order.Chief Inspector Aidoo said Afful’s car hit Sgt Adabor and smashed a kiosk belonging to a radio mechanic.The police officer sustained injuries and was admitted at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.Source: GNA
