President Kufuor has asked heads of Ghana’s Diplomatic Missions to assist entrepreneurs in search of market opportunities in the country.He says the diplomats must serve as links between authorities here and investors who would want to do business in the country.According to the President this will enhance the development and progress of the private sector for rapid economic growth. He was speaking at the opening ceremony of the Conference of Heads of Ghana’s Diplomatic Missions in Accra.“The challenge to you as our invoice is to help the country maximize returns on these polices both diplomatically and economically"."The delivery of efficient and effective consular services to Ghanaians abroad and potential investors to Ghana yet is another essential part of your work"."Collectively your brothers and sisters abroad constitute now the single biggest economy to the country. This clearly demonstrates the faith and conscience that Ghanaians have in the past being chartered for development of our nation”.On his part the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and NEPAD, Nana Akuffo Addo said the conference will be used to review the performances of the country’s diplomatic missions abroad.He also said the programme will be used to define strategies to market Ghana’s 50th Independence Anniversary celebration.
