The GSE All-Share Index, the main gauge of the Accra bourse, jumped up on Friday with the main stock index gaining 40.4 points.
The index went up to close at 7,054.94 points from 7,014.54 points on Wednesday.
Change year to date now stands at 6.90 per cent.
Traded volumes rallied to close at 2,087,500 from Wednesday's close of 591,300 shares with Ghana Commercial Bank alone selling 2,060,700 shares.
There were seven price changes - all positive.
Enterprise Insurance Company was up GH¢0.02 at GH¢1.77, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited was up GH¢0.01 at GH¢1.39, SG-SSB gained GH¢0.01 at GH¢1.38, Ecobank Ghana Limited was GH¢ 0.01 better at GH¢ 2.48, Ecobank Transnational gained GH¢ 0.02 at GH¢ 1.30, Standard Chartered Bank rose by GH¢ 0.01 at GH¢ 26.66 while Total Ghana was up by GH¢ 0.01 at GH¢ 5.54.
Market capitalisation was stronger at GH¢ 13,459.31 from Wednesday's close of GH¢ 13,433.59.
