Nii Nortey Dua, National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ledzokuku, has said a government of the NDC would establish a Youth Counselling Centre to give the youth requisite training.
Speaking at the launch of the party’s 2008 campaign in the onstituency at a rally at Teshie, Nii Dua said with the training, the youth would not find it difficult to secure jobs.
“The youth are going to be an integral part of our programme so that we can take good care of them”, he said.
Nii Dua also assured women and children that a government of the NDC would give them the needed attention and urged Ghanaians to vote the Party into power in the upcoming elections.
Four Members of Parliament, Mr Enoch Teye Mensah, Prampram, Mr Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, Kpone-Katamanso, Nii Tackie Commey, Odododiodio, and Nii Amasah Namoale, Dadekotopon, took turns to address the rally.
While appealing to NDC functionaries to bring the Party back to power, the MPs urged the people to vote for Nii Dua to speed up the area’s development.
Mr Richard Quarshigah, Greater Accra Regional Propaganda Secretary of the NDC and member of the party’s National Communications Team, urged members to step up their house-to-house campaign in order to win more supporters for the party.
Mr Quarsghigah also urged them to elect capable polling agents who would ‘police’ polling stations during the December elections.
