There is disagreement between the flag bearer of the CPP, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom and some members of the party’s hierarchy over a statement signed by Publicity Chairman Korshi Dede hailing the dismissal of the Interior Minister Mr. Kwamena Bartels.Dr. Nduom has dissociated himself from the statement and called on the party to take immediate action to remedy any damage caused to Mr. Bartels. But Mr. Dede has strongly defended the party’s position saying it will not be reversed. He told Joy News that the party leadership engaged in serious consultations before issuing the statement.“I want to put on record that the statement comes from the party and that it is not a personal position” he stated. He said according to party’s constitution the leader of the party is the chairman and not the flag bearer.Mr. Dede said the flag bearer who is currently outside the country needed to have checked his facts before making the comments.Story by Malik Anass Daabu
