Various predictions are coming in from men of God and surveys as to which political party is likely to win this year's elections.
Prophet Daniel Nkansah, the newly acclaimed flag-bearer of the New Vision Party, has joined the band wagon and predicted that "something strange, miracle, extra-ordinary and wonderful" would happen in the 2008 polls.
He stated this after he had been acclaimed by the NVP delegates to lead the party in this year's election as their presidential candidate. The event lacked the usual colour, pomp and pageantry often associated with such political gatherings.
According to the programme for the event, chiefs, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of political parties and other dignitaries who were billed to grace the occasion failed to honour the invitation.
Stuttering each time he was called upon to address the audience, Prophet Nkansah, who is also a founder of the NVP, said he was chosen by God to be the flag-bearer and expressed the belief that something was going to happen in the country during the election.
He described Ghana as God’s nation and gave the assurance that the Almighty has something special for the nation. The Prophet was quick to add that though God loves Ghana, the country’s major setback is leadership.
“Our leaders have no vision of God and that has been our problem,” he stressed.
Quoting from the Bible, Prophet Nkansah noted that where there is no vision the people perish.
According to the NVP flag-bearer, God has revealed that he would bless the nation through him and the people would be saved.
Earlier, Apostle Aaron King, National Chairman of NVP, had disclosed that the party was commissioned by God and explained that it was an ordinary party but goes beyond the natural things we see.
He expressed the hope that come December 7, when the electorate would cast their votes God through an ange, would whisper to the voters to vote for the NVP and elect its flag-bearer as the next President.
Prince Andani, General Secretary of the NVP, was not happy with the way and manner the youth of this country have been influenced by the Western culture particularly, in the area of dressing.
Meanwhile, thirty-four executive members of the party were also sworn into office at the same event.
