Ghanaian artistes, Sarkodie, R2Bees and Shatta have earned nominations in this year's Channel O Africa Music Video Awards.

They will face off with some of Africa's finest acts for laurels at the main awards which take place on Saturday, November 29 at Nasrec Expo Centre in Soweto, South Africa.

Sarkodie received two nominations namely, Most Gifted Male and the night's biggest award Most Gifted Video Of The Year. All the nominations are for his 'Illuminati' video.

For the Most Gifted Video Of The Year, he will battle Emmy Gee Ft Ab Crazy & Dj Dimplez for Rands And Nairas, Davido for Aye, K.O. Ft Kid X for Caracara, Burna Boy for Run My Race, Tiwa Savage Ft Don Jazzy for Eminado.

The rest of the nominees in that category are Dr Sid Ft Don Jazzy for Surulere, Riky Rick Ft Okmalumkoolkat for Amantombazane, Cassper Nyovest for Doc Shebeleza, Dj Clock Ft Beatenberg for Pluto (I Remember), Aka for Congratulate, and Diamond for Number One.

In the Most Gifted Male category, Cassper Nyovest for Doc Shebeleza, Davido for Aye, Riky Rick Ft Okmalumkoolkat for Amantombazane, K.O. Ft Kid X for Caracara will face Sarkodie.

Tema-based music duo, R2Bees also received two nominations for their song Slow Down which features Nigerian artiste Wizkid. They were nominated in the Most Gifted Duo, Group Or Featuring, and Most Gifted West.

They will compete Uhuru Ft Oskido & Professor for Y-Tjukutja, Dj Clock Ft Beatenberg for Pluto (I Remember), K.O. Ft Kid X for Caracara, and Kcee Ft Wizkid for Pull Over, for that award.

The Most Gifted West also has Davido for Aye, Burna Boy Ft D’banj for Won Da Mo, Olamide for Turn Up, and Dr Sid Ft Don Jazzy for Surulere as competitors.

2014 Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year, Shatta Wale received a nomination in the Most Gifted Ragga Dancehall category.

Shatta Wale was nominated for his hit song Everybody Likes My Ting and will face off with Buffalo Souljah for Basawine, Orezi for Rihanna, Jesse Jagz Feat Wizkid for Bad Girl, and Patoranking for Girlie O (Remix), for that award.

No Ghanaian female artiste receive a nomination in this year's awards.

Nigerian music sensation, Davido lead the pack with five nominations.

He has been nominated in the Most Gifted Video of the Year, Most Gifted Male Video, Most Gifted Afro Pop Video, Most Gifted West Video categories for his smash hit Aye and a nomination in the Most Gifted Dance Video for his Skelewu video.
