The National Security Co-ordinator, Dr. Sam Amoo Ghartey, has warned that his outfit is adequately prepared to face-off anyone who would be tempted to engage in any electoral irregularities.
About 8000 troops of the National Election Security Taskforce were today dispatched to the various regions to provide security for the presidential runoff on December 28.
Briefing the personnel at the Independence Square in Accra on Friday morning, Mr. Amoo Ghartey praised them for their conduct in the first round and said the entire country is counting on their stewardship.
“The sacrifices you are making is very highly appreciated…be fair but let everybody know that you will be robust and very robust…for those who intent to create confusion, those who may plan to snatch ballot boxes, use appropriate force to make sure that not a single ballot box leaves any polling station.”
