The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Kofi Osei-Ameyaw is calling for calm among Ghanaians as more confirmed cases of the coronavirus hit the airwaves.
According to Mr. Osei-Ameyaw, pragmatic steps are being taken to address the pandemic that has killed more than 10,000 people globally and three in Ghana.
Already, President Akufo-Addo has announced the closure of all schools and universities in Ghana as well as ordered the suspension of all public gatherings for four weeks.
These public gatherings include conferences, workshops, funerals, festivals, political rallies, sporting events and religious events such as services in churches and mosques.
To further protect the citizenry, the government also closed all of Ghana's borders.
Commending these initiatives, the former Member of Parliament for the Asuogyaman constituency urged Ghanaians to adhere strictly to all coronavirus preventive health tips outlined by the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service.
