Markets in the Anloga District Assembly in the Volta Region have been closed down indefinitely, in the wake of Covid-19 cases in the region.
According to release dated April 13, 2020 and signed by the District Chief Executive, Seth Yormenu, the move is in line with the Imposition of Restrictions Act 2020 (1012) and Consequential Orders.
The directive implies that the market day scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2020, has been postponed until further notice.
According to the assembly, daily market activities will be allowed. However, the four-day interval market days are prohibited.
