The Ghana Health Service says 17 patients being treated for Covid-19 have recovered.
Director-General of the Service, Dr Patrick Aboagye disclosed this at the Information Ministry’s press briefing on Covid-19 in the country.
He explained that patients are only declared free from the disease after they have recorded two consecutive negative.
As at midnight on Monday, April 13, Ghana has recorded 566 confirmed cases of the virus with 8 deaths.
According to the Ghana Health Service, 292 out of the 566 confirmed cases were reported from the routine surveillance, 159 from enhanced surveillance activities and 115 from travelers under mandatory quarantine in both Accra and Tamale.
