One more person has tested positive for coronavirus at Walewale in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North East region.
This brings to two, the total number of confirmed cases in the North East region, health officials have confirmed to JoyNews.
The patient, who has since been isolated is undergoing treatment in the Municipal capital.
He is a close relative and came into contact with a 19-year-old male who died of the virus last week.
The case was recorded as part of ongoing testing of 43 contacts, including family relatives and health staff, identified as having been exposed to the deceased patient.
Thirty-five samples out of the 43 traced have been tested with only one being positive for Covid-19.
Health authorities say more contacts are being traced as part of intensified measures to stop the spread of the virus.
