Arla Foods, one of the country’s leading milk brands and makers of Dano milk has donated to frontline health staff at the Tema General Hospital.
This is part of its corporate social responsibility in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The items worth thousands of Ghana cedis were handed to the Medical Director of the Tema General Hospital, Dr Richard Anthony.
The day also coincided with the celebration of World Milk Day saw set aside to highlight the importance of milk in our diet and how essential to have the high protein element in our foods.
Chief Executive Officier of Arla Foods Ghana, Fatu Mata, said the donation is to celebrate frontline health workers who have exhibited selflessness in this Covid-19 fight.

“All across the world, frontline health workers are laying down their lives to battle this novel virus which has crippled economies with many people unable to do what they do best”.
The donation of Dano milk, Madam Fatu Mata is to help boost the immune system of the fronline health workers.
“This is why we at Arla foods have thought it wise to celebrate health workers and their immense contribution” she added.
Receiving the items, Dr Richard Anthony expressed profound gratitude to Arla Foods for the donation.
He underscored the need for Ghanaians to observe all the safety protocols since the virus might be with us for a long time.
Dr Anthony commended the efforts of other individuals and organisations helping in diverse ways to curtail the spread of the virus and thereby protect fellow citizens.
