The country has lost one of its top surgeons, Richard Kisser who is with the Trust Hospital to Covid-19.
According to the Hospital, the consultant surgeon lost the battle with the virus on Thursday.
“We regret to inform all staff of the passing of our consultant surgeon, Dr Richard Kisser.
"The sad event occurred on Thursday 2nd of July 2020 at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) where he was receiving treatment for COV1D-19 complications. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” the PR Unit of Trust Hospital said.

His death adds to the growing list of frontline workers who have died fighting against the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
In June, the Medical Superintendent of the Kwadaso SDA Hospital in Kumasi Dr Harry Owusu Boateng died after contracting the virus.
In April, Professor Jacob Plange-Rhule, the Rector of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, also died of Covid-19 at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
A lot of health workers have contracted the virus in their line of duty with many of them complaining of lack of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs).
