The Organisers of Ghana Music Awards UK have cancelled the 2020 edition of the event because of the coronavirus pandemic.
As a result, the 5th edition of the awards scheme will be held in 2021.
"As an organisation, we are very much concerned about this uncomfortable situation and the lives of our patrons and the general public as a whole," the event company said.
The explained that they were being cautious to not endanger the lives of individuals as well as follow the needed health protocols given by UK's health officials.
"We are optimistic that by this time next year, the road would have been cleared for us to organise the 5th edition of the awards."
"We also want to use this opportunity to commiserate with those who have lost their families and friends to the virus. All we can say is that “Let’s Keep Hope Alive” and pray to God to heal the world."
