The General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) is urging owners and workers of businesses that have fallen into crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic not to lose hope.
Pastor Mensa Otabil said the negative impact of the pandemic has been felt the world over however, God is able to turn things around and restore their losses.
"I have been amazed at the type of businesses that have collapsed, all over the world in the last six months; venerable businesses, and I can imagine all the staff, from the Managing Director to the factory flow worker, people who worked in this company, thousands and thousands of them had made plans that they were going to survive but suddenly have lost almost everything in six months. But God says he will open fountains in the valley’," he said Sunday during his sermon.
Pastor Otabil in his sermon said sometimes, life presents unexpected challenges, "in your career, in your businesses," just as the pandemic has brought about.
He said God is able to turn the tables around and make situations better.
"It is possible to find yourself at a high place in your life; in your career, in your business, and then experience a loss. Soon you find yourself in a desolate height," he said.
"And when you find yourself in a desolate height, the thing is people think you are high, they think everything is okay with you but you know that you are desolate at the top.
"Something has gone wrong at the top and in this season especially what the virus has done to many people, businesses that were at the height have become desolate. And for those people, God says he will open up rivers to them," he said.
